Privacy policy - How we handle the information you provide.
We value your trust. This policy describes how helloio Studio (hereinafter, "the Studio") collects, processes, and uses personal data on this website, along with the rights you have under applicable law. We follow Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and use your data only as necessary to provide our services.
This policy applies only to data generated when you browse this website (helloio.co), make inquiries, or initiate contact. Once both parties enter a formal software development or consulting agreement, project information and trade secrets are governed by the separate NDA and project contract you sign with us.

If you need to enter a formal contract, request a receipt, or send documents to our principal, please contact us through the channels listed below and we'll provide the necessary information.
2. Purpose of collection
The Studio collects your personal data for the following purposes:

- Follow-up engagement, contract signing, and communication throughout project delivery
- Responding to inquiries you submit via email, contact form, or messaging tools
- Maintaining basic website operations, improving service quality, and information security
- Using de-identified project profiles and technical specs as a basis for the Studio's internal technical research, architecture optimization, or public case study presentations (subject to any NDA we sign with you)

The Studio processes your personal data within the scope of the above purposes. Any use outside these purposes will be subject to your prior consent.
3. Categories of data collected
Data you provide on this website, or that the Studio collects within reasonable scope, includes but is not limited to:
- Identification: Name, company or brand name
- Contact: Email, phone number, messaging account
- Project information: Project requirements, budget range, and existing system details you voluntarily provide via contact form or email
- Technical: Browsing data from your visits, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifier, referring page, time on page, and click behavior
4. Period, region, recipients, and method of use
Period: The Studio will stop processing or using your personal data, or de-identify it, once the collection purposes cease to exist or the statutory retention period expires — in accordance with our internal procedures. Within the scope of business necessity and legal compliance (e.g., tax and accounting record retention), the foregoing period shall not be less than the applicable statutory retention period.
Region: Taiwan, where the Studio is based. Some technical services (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, web analytics) may have servers located overseas, in which case your data may be transferred to those regions.
Recipients: The Studio may provide your personal data to third-party service providers necessary for executing business, including but not limited to: cloud hosting and storage, communication and email delivery, web traffic analytics, customer service and project management tools, payment processing, and accounting and legal services. These third parties process your data only within the scope of the entrusted business and bear equivalent confidentiality obligations.
Method: Stored as electronic files in the Studio's systems and those of the aforementioned third-party service providers, with reasonable technical and management measures for protection.
5. Third-party services and web analytics
To maintain website operations and continuously improve service quality, the Studio may use third-party service providers, including web hosting platforms, email delivery services, and web traffic and behavior analytics tools. These services may collect your usage behavior and browsing data through Cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies.
Tools the Studio currently uses or may use include but are not limited to industry-standard web traffic analytics, cloud hosting platforms, behavior tracking, and advertising tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
You can decline Cookie storage through your browser settings, or disable tracking by these analytics tools. Declining Cookies may affect the user experience of some website features, but does not affect your basic right to access the service.
6. Your rights
Under Article 3 of Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the following rights regarding personal data held by the Studio:
- Inquire or request access
- Request a copy
- Request supplementation or correction
- Request cessation of collection, processing, or use
- Request deletion
To exercise these rights, please contact the Studio through the channels listed below. We will respond within a reasonable period after receiving your request. Some requests may not be fully satisfiable due to legal requirements or business necessity — in which case the Studio will explain the reasons.
Please note: if your personal data has been included in the Studio's routine system security backups, the Studio will not actively remove your data from those backups alone, due to backup integrity and technical feasibility considerations. These backup files are protected by strict access controls and security isolation measures, and will be routinely destroyed according to the system's established overwrite cycle, with no further business use.
7. Data security
The Studio adopts reasonable technical and management measures to protect your personal data, including transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and periodic system security reviews. However, in the Internet environment, the absolute security of information transmission cannot be guaranteed.
For data breaches caused by reasons not attributable to the Studio (e.g., illegal intrusion of third-party service providers, force majeure, or other circumstances the Studio could not reasonably foresee or control), the Studio will perform legally required notifications and remedial measures; within the scope permitted by law, the Studio shall not be liable for damages. If you suspect a personal data breach, please contact the Studio immediately.
8. Legally required disclosure
In the following circumstances, the Studio may disclose your personal data within the scope permitted by law:
- Lawful requests from judicial authorities, prosecutors, or administrative agencies
- When necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Studio, its users, or third parties
- When necessary to investigate suspected unlawful acts or violations of this policy
9. Voluntary provision
You may freely choose whether to provide personal data. If you choose not to provide it, the Studio will be unable to complete project assessment, follow-up communication, or contract-related matters — but this does not affect your basic right to browse this website. The Studio does not actively collect your direct identifying information (e.g., name, email); however, web analytics tools may collect your usage statistics in the form of technical identifiers (see Section 5).
10. Audience and handling of malicious submissions
This website primarily serves adults with full legal capacity or business entities. The Studio does not deliberately collect personal data from minors; if you are a minor, please obtain consent from your legal guardian before using the inquiry features of this website.
To maintain system security and operational efficiency, for inquiries determined to be bot submissions, malicious tests, automated crawlers, or clearly unrelated to the Studio's business (spam), the Studio reserves the right to delete them directly without further notice or reply.
11. Policy updates
The Studio may update this policy at any time. The updated version is effective upon publication on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for the latest content. Continued use of this website is deemed acceptance of the updated policy.
